SurvivalArk is made by Ark Software LLC. We built it so your family’s information stays with your family. This policy explains, in plain language, what this website and the SurvivalArk app collect, and what they don’t.

The short version

  • The app has no account and no sign-up. Your plans, records, contacts, and medical details are stored encrypted on your own device, not on our servers.
  • We don’t sell or share your information. We don’t run ads.
  • This website collects your email only if you join the waitlist, and only to tell you about SurvivalArk.

This website

Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address with our email provider, [EMAIL SERVICE], so we can tell you when SurvivalArk launches. You can unsubscribe with the link in any email, or ask us to delete your address.

Visitor statistics. We use Plausible Analytics to count visits. Plausible doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across other websites, and doesn’t collect personal information. We see totals, such as how many people visited a page and which country they came from.

The SurvivalArk app

Stored on your device. Everything you enter (checklists, supplies, contacts, documents, photos, and health details) is kept in a 256-bit encrypted database on your phone or computer. Ark Software never receives it.

When the app goes online. Some features need the internet. When you use them, the app sends only what the request needs:

  • Disaster alerts send the location you set to public government services: the National Weather Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, and FEMA.
  • Find Nearby sends your search location to OpenStreetMap’s public search service.
  • Maps and directions open in your device’s own maps app, which follows that app’s privacy policy.

Location. The app uses your location only for alerts, nearby searches, location sharing you start yourself, and the breadcrumb trail. Your location history stays on your device.

Ark Bridge (Family Ark and Medical Ark). If you choose to import records from Family Ark or Medical Ark, the transfer happens directly between the apps on your own device, one category at a time, and only with your approval.

AI Health Assistant (optional, off by default). If you turn this on and choose an online AI provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Groq, or OpenRouter, the question you type is sent to that provider. If you choose to include your vital records, those are sent too. That provider’s own privacy policy applies. If you choose a local server on your own device, nothing leaves your device. Ark Software never sees your questions or your AI key.

Texts and sharing. “I’m safe” texts, shared locations, and message templates go out through your own messaging apps, only when you press Send.

Children

SurvivalArk is meant to be set up by adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
